Best Aravalli views at DLF The Crest: which towers and floors to ask for

Evening skyline view from DLF The Crest towards the Aravalli ridge and DLF golf greens, Gurgaon

Two apartments at The Crest with the same carpet area and the same furnishing can differ meaningfully in rent, and the variable is almost always the view. Built across 8.8 acres with six towers designed by Hafeez Contractor, the complex has enough height and spacing that upper floors clear the surrounding skyline and open towards the Aravalli ridge on one side and the golf course on the other.

What you are actually looking at

From the higher floors the Aravalli ridge runs along the southern horizon — best at dawn and through the monsoon, when the hills go green. On the golf side, the DLF Golf and Country Club fairways, roughly a kilometre away, give an uninterrupted stretch of green that no future construction is likely to close off. City-facing homes look towards the Golf Course Road corridor and are noticeably brighter in the evening.

How view affects rent

As a working rule, golf-facing and ridge-facing apartments on upper floors sit at the top of the band for their configuration, while lower-floor and city-facing units anchor the bottom. For a 3 BHK that spread can be the difference between roughly ₹2.10 lakh and ₹2.85 lakh a month; on a 4 BHK the gap widens further.

  • Higher floors: wider ridge line, less road noise, stronger premium
  • Mid floors: balance of green views and quick lift access
  • Lower floors: best value, closer to club and podium gardens

The layouts that use the view best

The signature 4 BHK plan — double-height lobby entry, wide living-dining and a private lift lobby on select floors — is designed around a long window line, so the view carries through the main living space rather than being confined to one bedroom. Penthouses in duplex and terrace formats put the ridge and the skyline on an open terrace, which is why they rarely stay on the market.

What to check on the site visit

Stand in the living room and the master bedroom at the time of day you will actually be home. Check the sight line against the neighbouring tower rather than the horizon, ask which direction the balcony faces for summer heat, and confirm whether the unit's parking bay is close to the tower lift core. These small things decide how a home feels after month three.
